In his capacity as Honorary President of the Royalists UK, Andrew Rosindell M.P. spoke to the BBC regarding the Royalists's petition to ensure that a permenant statue of Queen Elizabeth II is erected on the fourth plinth of Trafalgar Square.
Andrew believes that, at present, the Mayor of London wields too much power over the memorials in London, and that divisive public art exhibitions on the fourth plinth do not rally the country together and are certainly not a representation our history and our capital.
Queen Elizabeth II served our country and the Commonwealth with such stoicism for so long, why should we not celebrate her reign at the very heart of our great capital!
As of today, The Royalists's petition sits on around 50,000 signatures and it is still growing. You can sign it here.
