Following the announcement today by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, The Rt Hon. Matt Hancock M.P., Romford M.P., Andrew Rosindell has made the following statement:
Andrew Rosindell M.P. said:
“I am pleased to see the announcement of new measures to improve patient care. It is vital we get the country moving again, but in the midst of a pandemic, and with the cold and flu season imminent, additional measures and government support will be important.
Additional capital funding to expand and upgrade A&Es and a greater emphasis on the NHS’s 111 service will play a big role in ensuring the NHS isn’t overwhelmed by a potential second wave.
I am particularly pleased to see that King George Hospital will be receiving additional funds for improvements to the A&E waiting area, streaming, major trauma and resuscitation area. There will also be funds available to provide the emergency department with dedicated X-Ray facilities. Many of my constituents use the King George Hospital and I know they will be encouraged to see the government investing in their vital services.”
