Following the longest General Election campaign in history, Andrew Rosindell has been re-elected to serve as Member of Parliament for Romford for another five years.
His victory came on a successful night for the Conservative Party across Britain, in which they won 331 seats out of 650, winning a surprising 12 seat majority.
Following his re-election, Andrew commented:
"I am delighted at having been elected to serve the people of Romford for another 5 years. Representing my home town within the House of Commons is a great honour"

"I am looking forward to getting on with some important work. This is an exiciting time for our country - our economy is on the mend and we are finally going to be given an opportunity to vote on Britain's membership of the European Union"
The election in Romford saw the Labour party pushed into third place.
The results were as follows:
Andrew Rosindell - Conservative - 51%
Gerard Batten - UKIP - 22.8%
Sam Gould - Labour - 20.9%
Ian Sanderson - Liberal Democrat - 2.9%
Lorna Tooley - Green - 2.5%
