On Monday 19th October, Andrew visited Towers School in Hornchurch. Andrew heard about the school's journey during the last few months and the various COVID measures it has brought in to ensure the school is a secure environment for its pupils and to ensure it can remain open during this academic year.
Commenting, Andrew said:
"My respect to the Head Teachers and Staff of Towers Federation Schools for their amazing team effort to re-open the schools with safety measures in place to combat the virus and provide pupils with the best possible education.
It was a privilege being shown around both schools yesterday, accompanied by Cllr. Christine Smith. I was impressed to hear about the fantastic work they have done to ensure that pupils can come back to school in safety."
