This week, Andrew Rosindell M.P. paid a visit to Legends boxing gym in Dagenham which serves as a hub for Romford's boxing community.
Andrew had this to say following his visit:
"Recently, head coaches Jamie Williams, Kyle Paevie, and Jordan Brockwell welcomed me to Legends boxing gym, Dagenham. Getting into the ring, I witnessed first-hand the sterling work that they do for young people.
Boxing is a wonderful sport for young people to keep fit, but that is not its only purpose. Instilling a sense of discipline, hard-work and dedication, the boxing club supports the young fighters of the future with staying on the right path and contributing to the local community.
I was very pleased to speak with the head coaches and the members about the positive personal impact that the sport and this club is having on their lives. Rather than teaching victimhood, being part of this boxing club enables young people to take control, and this is an approach that I will always support!
