On Friday 16th October, Andrew Rosindell M.P. met staff at the newly constructed Acorn Centre in Romford. The Acorn centre is a specialist children’s centre in Romford, which specialises in assisting children who have physical, sensory, communication, emotional or learning difficulties.
The Acorn centre is part of the North East London NHS Foundation Trust and utilises a multi-disciplinary approach to diagnose, assess and treat people ages 0-19 with complex neurological and development disorders.
Andrew was shown around the centre, seeing the various state of the art facilities available to constituents in Romford, and speaking to the staff employed at the centre.
Following the meeting, Andrew said:
“It is excellent to see facilities such as the Acorn Centre providing such a valuable service to the community, right in the heart of Romford. These young people often face significant challenges and it is heart-warming to see the dedication these staff have to helping them, as well as the investment that is being made into state of the art facilities”
