Andrew Rosindell has written to Leader of Havering Council, Damian White, to urge him to improve the quality of facilities available at the play area in the northern section of Raphael Park.
In the letter Andrew writes that during the pandemic "when many other areas are closed due to government regulations... it is more important than ever that children have somewhere safe and enjoyable to play."
However, Andrew writes that "parents are becoming concerned about allowing their children to play in the area" adding that they have reached out "to raise their concerns that lots of the current play equipment is broken and not functioning as intended, out-dated, or otherwise unsuitable."
He ends the letter by calling Council Leader Damian White to "either fix, upgrade, or entirely replace the current set od equipment, so that it can once again be a safe and welcoming place for children to play.
