Earlier today, Andrew Rosindell M.P. attended an event to celebrate the contributions of those in our community of Commonwealth ancestry, namely from the Caribbean and Africa.
Whether during our imperial past or during the present, it is important to recognise that many people from these regions of the world have made positive contributions to our society, fighting for this country during our greatest time of tribulation and assimilating themselves with us and have become part of our British family.
Andrew has stated the following following the event:
A wonderful afternoon spent with members of our community of Commonwealth ancestry in Havering, namely the Caribbean and Africa. During my time as M.P. I have worked very closely with these communities and amongst them are some of the most community spirited and patriotic people I know! Joining this annual cultural celebration was fine way to mark the week I became President of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Caribbean! Thank you to @HaveringBME for organising such a lovely day for everyone!
