It was a delight to attend Father Roderick Hingley’s Pearl Anniversary celebrations and service at the Church of St. Alban Protomartyr Romford.
Fr. Hingley has served the parish for thirty years now and has been a rock of the community, helping thousands of people from all over Romford and beyond throughout his time at St. Alban’s.
I am also delighted that with the Havering Council boundary changes, St. Alban’s will be its own ward, replacing the old Romford Town Ward.
This is a fine tribute in celebrating the work of St. Alban’s Parish Church and Fr. Hingley in particular.
I first met Fr. Hingley over two decades ago before I became the M.P. for Romford and he has served the people of our town so selflessly for years, offering wisdom and guidance for us all.
I hope that Fr. Hingley has many more happy years at St. Alban’s Church and I am sure he will continue to be a staunch pillar of our community in Romford and Hornchurch.
