Last night, Andrew was present at the knife crime summit - an opportunity for him to meet local community groups who are fighting the good fight to ensure that our streets can become safer for all.
This is an event that has been covered extensively by the local press, namely the Havering Daily - an article from which you can read here.
I was pleased to see our local community coming together to tackle violence and particularly knife crime at the Summit held at Romford Baptist Church. Thank you to all the local community groups that took part, it was brilliant to be able hear about the excellent work they do. The Knife Crime Summit was a very positive step for our Havering community, giving an opportunity for local people to express their views and voice their concerns. I will continue to argue for more Police to be allocated to Havering and back ‘stop and search’ to prevent violence.
