In Westminster today, Andrew Rosindell M.P. spent a busy day representing the people of Romford in Parliament.
In the morning, he met with The Rt Hon. Sir Lindsay Hoyle M.P., Speaker of the House of Commons, in Speaker's House.
Commenting on this, Andrew stated on X, formerly Twitter:
So pleased to spend time this morning with Mr. Speaker @CommonsSpeaker in Speaker’s House @HouseofCommons as my first meeting on an important day in Westminster for me, as I continue to represent the good people of Romford as their MP in @UKParliament.
Andrew then reaffirmed his loyalty to Crown and Country in the House of Commons, swearing his oath to His Majesty The King:
I swear by Almighty God that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Charles, his Heirs and Successors, according to law. So help me God.
The wording of the oath comes from the Promissory Oaths Act 1868
