Andrew Rosindell M.P. has released a statement on the new ambulance hub at Queens Hospital, designed to help cut A&E waiting times.
"As the Member of Parliament for Romford, I am pleased to welcome the opening of the new Ambulance Hub based at Queens Hospital in Romford.
This represents a significant investment in our local NHS and will have a tangible impact on patients in Essex and northeast London.
The hub aims to reduce waiting times in the emergency department by offering a dedicated area for ambulances to transfer patients to hospital staff. This will enable ambulances to return to the roads more swiftly, ensuring prompt assistance to those in urgent need.
Furthermore, the Government has allocated funds for the construction and improvement of eight discharge lounges in London hospitals. These lounges will provide a more comfortable setting for patients who are ready to go home, thereby freeing up hospital beds.
The Government's commitment to enhancing patient care is evident in its substantial investment in the NHS. I am confident that these new facilities will make a genuine difference to patients in northeast London and throughout the entire country."
