Today Monday 14th of September sees new restrictions coming into force related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
From today it will be illegal to meet in groups of more than six, indoor or outdoor, with exemptions made for single households larger than six people, weddings, funerals, workplaces and schools. It will also be mandatory for all hospitality venues to take information for the test and trace programme.
Andrew Rosindell M.P. said:
“It is been wonderful to see over the past two months our nation slowly getting back to normal. The enormous success of the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme demonstrated just how many people up and down our country are committed to getting the economy moving again, especially in my constituency of Romford.
“However, the pandemic has not yet ended and there will be times over the coming months when the government has to take difficult decisions and make judgements on what measures are need to control this terrible virus.
“Whatever is decided, the trend has to be in the long term towards returning this country to normality.
“I have every faith that my constituents will use their great, British common sense and judgement as these new rules come into place. I have been tremendously proud of the way the people of Romford have responded to this pandemic and I know that pride will continue to be justified in the months to come.”
