Today marks 27 years since the genocide in Srebrenica where more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim people were murdered due to hate.
We remember the innocent lives taken in commemorating these atrocities. Col. Bob Stewart M.P., who served in Bosnia, took me to Srebrenica last year to meet relatives of those who were so brutally murdered and to see for myself the effects of the genocide that was inflicted on the Bosnian people.
A sad and moving experience.
They shall not be forgotten!
