Chaos of Labour in Power
"It gives me no pleasure to say, ‘I told you so’! Labour in government is already proving to be a catastrophe for our country, and especially for the people of Romford. We have seen the disastrous consequences of this left-wing government in just a few short weeks. Labour is doing the opposite of what people were calling for at the General Election. Britain is being driven into the ground with an extreme policy of mass immigration, prisoners are being released onto Romford’s streets, we are seeing tax raids on pensioners and working people, the vital Winter Fuel Allowance is gone, and free speech is under attack like never before. Violence and disorder have engulfed our streets, and all that Sir Keir Starmer does is to brand everyone as ‘far right’! I am appalled at the damaging effects of what the Labour government is doing; it is implementing a socialist ideological agenda that goes against the grain of the British people.
With the Rwanda policy scrapped, we are left with a backlog of asylum seekers, with more and more illegal boats coming over the English Channel every day. There is no sign of a plan by Labour to deal with the situation. Their proposal of a new Border and Security Command is just a rebrand of previous policy and doesn’t even have a Commander. The vagueness of Labour’s policies on rebuilding the NHS, defence spending and house building give the British people little hope for real change.
Britain did not vote for this! Most people in Romford voted for the Conservative Party and Reform UK, not Labour. There is no mandate for a left-wing agenda for Britain. We need a government of common sense, competence, and patriotism. We must not allow the next General Election to be like the last one.
As we live through the chaos and uncertainty Labour in power, my priority will be to fight for the things that matter to the people of Romford: an end to Mayor of London having a stranglehold over us; a new A&E Unit at Queen’s Hospital; more Police for Romford to crack down on recent crime waves; and a fairer funding system for boroughs like Havering. As we navigate the stormy waters ahead, as Romford’s M.P., I will work to bring our community together, always in the best interests of our beloved town of Romford."
