Its that time of year once again where we celebrate everything Irish! A common misconception across the globe is that St. Patrick's Day is day where we celebrate the culture of the Republic of Ireland, often neglecting the fact that St. Patrick is the patron saint of the entire island of Ireland. As we are a United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, it is only fitting we give it equal status with English, Scottish, and Welsh days of importance.
As the day also lands on Andrew's birthday, this opportunity was used to celebrate the contributions of the Irish.
A very Happy St. Patrick’s Day Birthday Party in Romford with my dearest friends from far and wide! Thank you for making my day so special and for all your love, support and kindness! The 17th March could not be a better day for a birthday! Thank you [also] all my friends, colleagues and staff members from @UKParliament for giving me the most magnificent St. Patrick’s Birthday Party ever… it’s a privilege to have so many true friends who have shown so much love and support for me in recent times. You are all amazing!
In the lead up to this day, Andrew was delighted to meet the hardworking people at Cakes and Bakes in Collier Row who made Andrew a birthday cake with an Irish theme.
A huge thank you to local Romford business, based in Collier Row, Cakes & Bakes, for the making such an amazing Shamrock Birthday Cake for my St. Patrick’s Day birthday celebration at Westminster! A fantastic local company, providing wonderful cakes for all occasions!
