Most regrettably, I had an essential medical appointment yesterday at King George's Hospital which I had to attend, so I was not able to be present in the House of Commons to vote against the Labour government's cruel policy to take away the Winter Heating Allowance for pensioners. I was given leave of absence by the Chief Whip.
