In Parliament yesterday, Andrew supported the Dog Advisory Welfare All-Party Parliamentary Group at their drop-in session for M.P.'s.
Several issues came up, such as dog abandonment and the expenses of owning dogs in this cost-of-living crisis.
On X, formerly Twitter, today, the A.P.P.G. thanked Andrew for his attendance:
Huge thanks @AndrewRosindell MP for attending our 'State of Rescue' parliamentary drop-in event where many current issues affecting rescue, such as pandemic pups, rise in abandonment & cost of living were discussed. Really appreciate your support. (Pic: Sarah Bardsley) #APDAWG
All-Party Parliamentary Dog Advisory Welfare Group
Andrew Rosindell M.P., former Shadow Minister for Animal Welfare, is well known for his advocacy of our four legged friends, notably through his proposed 10 minute rule bill, 'Jasmine's Law,' which has successfully been incorporated, in part, into the draft Renter's Reform Bill. This piece of draft legislation includes a provision that landlords will be legally required to consider a request for a pet, and cannot, under this new legislation, 'reasonably refuse'.
