This evening, Andrew addressed the Annual Summer Reception of the Friends of the British Overseas Territories (FOTBOT).
Andrew is FOTBOT's key Parliamentary Advisor, having been there at the foundation of the organisation in Jan 2013.
In a lengthy address, Andrew spoke of the need to raise awareness of the OTs - which include (among others) Gibraltar, the Falklands, Montserrat and Anguilla - amongst the British population at large, and the need for British Members of Parliament to speak up for the OTs' interests in Parliament. At present there is no Parliamentary representation for Overseas Territories Citizens.
Among others, there were citizens of both Montserrat and Anguilla present at the event.
Following the reception, Andrew said:
"It was a pleasure - as always - to address FOTBOT this evening. It is a fantastic organisation which supports an otherwise little known cause. I look forward to continuing to work with them into the future, and I hope they continue to go from strength to strength."
