I am delighted to be representing the UK at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Warsaw, Poland to discuss questions relating to security and defence with MPs from fellow NATO countries. I passionately support the United Kingdom’s membership of NATO, and believe building strong bilateral and multilateral defence partnerships will be one of the key areas where our country can thrive after Brexit.
This May’s talks in Warsaw, a city which has faced both Nazi and Communist oppression, provide an important reminder of how we must stand together to combat such evil ideologies wherever they arise in the world – and never has the UK been in a better position to lead the way in this endeavour.
