For the December issue of Archant's lifestyle magazine, the Havering and Brentwood Resident, Andrew Rosindell was interviewed by Kate Jones. Extracts of the interview can be found below.
On living in Romford “Romford is a wonderful place. There’s lots going for it, and it’s a great place to live. We’re near the countryside, we’re near the seaside and we’re near the city, so we’ve got the best of all worlds.”
On the increase in high rises in his constituency: “There are far too many high-rise blocks and flats being built. It’s not what people want.”
On Gallows Corner: "The junction and flyover are dangerous and very chaotic”
On the governance of Havering: “We are part of Greater London and I don’t think that serves us very well – I think it takes resources away from Havering and prevents us from making decisions that are best for profile our borough."
On being an MP: “As an MP, you have influence, not power, so I don’t have the power to decide anything, but I do have influence to lobby, to campaign and to persuade those with the power to make the necessary changes,”
