Romford M.P., Andrew Rosindell, has publicly thanked the Havering Volunteer Centre for their "extraordinary" work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
An Early Day Motion (EDM) submitted by Mr Rosindell called on the House of Commons to express "its thanks for the efforts of the Havering Volunteer Centre who have worked tirelessly throughout the covid-19 outbreak."
The EDM stated that the House of Commons recognises that during the pandemic the Havering Volunteer Centre "has operated or contributed to NHS operations in Romford and across the London Borough of Havering, including with the rollout of the vaccines and PCR Kit Testing Sites."
It also commended the Havering Volunteer Centre for "co-ordinating the delivery food hampers at Christmas to vulnerable and isolated residents" and noted that those services "provided a significant source of support to so many people in need."
Andrew Rosindell M.P. said:
"The Havering Volunteer Centre has been the very best of our community in the past year or so. Faced with an unprecedented challenge, they have continously gone above and beyond the call of duty.
I have been endlessly blown away by their extraordinary work, and it is only right that Parliament recognises this."
