Andrew Rosindell has issued the following statement on the eighth anniversary of the passing of Margaret Thatcher.
"Today marks the eighth anniversary of the passing of Margaret Thatcher, a sad day, but a moment to reflect on how fortunate the UK was to be led by a Prime Minister who truly believed in the British nation and fought to make our country stronger! Thank you Mrs Thatcher!
In tribute to Lady Thatcher, I will today be addressing the Finchley & Golders Green Conservative Women’s Constituency Committee, speaking about my own friendship with Mrs T, having first met her at the 1982 Conservative Party Conference, by my great friend, the late Ian Gow.
I will always be grateful to her for the personal support she gave me to become the MP for Romford at the 2001 General Election. What a wonderful lady and how privileged I was to have known her."
