Today, we received the news that the Romford Poppy Appeal raised over £17,000 for the British Legion.
According to the Havering Daily:
The Romford poppy appeal team; Graham, Barry, Carol, Glenn, and Tony would like to thank the people of Romford and Havering, for their generosity during the 2023 Appeal.
The team would especially like to thank the staff of Margaret Thatcher House for allowing them to use their premises during the appeal. They would also like to thank the Management and staff of The Mercury Shopping Centre for their assistance with the Poppy Appeal Launch and for the provision of a stall throughout the Appeal.
Writing on social media, Andrew Rosindell M.P. stated:
A wonderful fund raising effort for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in Romford. Thank you Graham Gosling and his team of volunteers. It was a pleasure to give you the use of the facilities at Margaret Thatcher House. A great cause for our national heros.
