STATEMENT ON ONS IMMIGRATION PREDICTIONS
by Andrew Rosindell M.P.
I believe that uncontrolled mass immigration is the most serious problem facing the United Kingdom.
If we do not act now and take decisive action to control and limit the huge numbers of people who are projected to come to Britain over the next decade, the consequences for our nation will be enormous and irreversible.
If we fail to get a grip on immigration, the Office for National Statistics predicts that over six million migrants – a population the size of Scotland – are forecast to arrive in the United Kingdom by 2036. That will take the UK population to over 70 million!
The British people voted for governments committed to a reduction in immigration. They voted for BREXIT in which controlling immigration was a major factor. Time and time again the British people have demanded a reduction in illegal and legal immigration., but nothing has changed.
I understand and share the disappointment of my constituents who are dismayed at the failure of all governments to carry out the will of the British people and impose strict control on immigration to the United Kingdom.
I stand with the people of Romford who expect our government to do whatever is necessary to control our borders, stop the boats and impose a new regime that will end, once and for all, the open door policy on immigration which is leading to the crisis our nation is now facing.
