Marking St. Valentine's Day this year, Andrew has released an impassioned post on social media expressing his love for Romford, the town of his birth, as well as Hornchurch.
Commenting on X, formerly Twitter, Andrew expressed the following:
The greatest honour of my life has been to represent my home town of Romford in @UKParliament. 23 years on from my first election, I am as committed and enthusiastic to serve my cherished town and the people of Romford as I was from the moment I was declared Romford’s MP!
I was born in Romford; grew up in Romford; have always lived in Romford; attended Rise Park and Marshalls Park schools in Romford; was Christened at St. Edward’s Church in Romford; played in the Salvation Army Band in Romford; served for 12 years as a Councillor in Romford; and 23 years as MP for Romford. I am a Romfordian, through and through! From Romford, for Romford!
For as long as the people of Romford and the areas of Hornchurch that now fall within the Romford constituency wish me to continue serving them, I will be there. I will never let Romford down!
