Today, in his capacity as Chairman of the Australia, New Zealand (ANZAC), and Pacific Islands All-Party Parliamentary Group, Andrew Rosindell M.P. attended a series of events commemorating the sacrifices made by Australian and New Zealand servicemen during the Galipoli Campaign in 1915 and all those who have lost their lives since.
It commenced with a parade at Whitehall attended by the Duke of Edinburgh, followed by a service of remembrance at Westminster Abbey, then a wreath laying in Westminster Hall.
“When you go home, tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow, we gave our today.” ANZAC Day is when we recognise the sacrifices made by our kith and kin from Australia and New Zealand, who laid down their lives for King, Country and Empire. “We will remember them.” As Chairman of the Australia, New Zealand (ANZAC) and South Pacific Islands All Party Parliamentary Group of @UKParliament I was proud attend today’s commemorations in London at the Cenataph in Whitehall, Westminster Abbey and in Westminster Hall.
