Earlier today, Andrew Rosindell M.P. released a statement regarding the concerns of Romford resident's and claims made about Harefield Manor Hotel being utilised by another local administration to house their residents.
The details have not been yet confirmed by Mr Rosindell but he has commenced an investigation and intends on discovering the truth.
I have been made aware of deeply troubling claims that the Harefield Manor Hotel on Main Road has been block booked by another Council to house their residents. While I cannot yet verify these claims, I am urgently investigating this matter. Havering is already struggling to provide for our own residents, and it would be utterly unacceptable for another local authority to exploit our community in this way. If these claims are true, it represents a colossal injustice and a blatant disregard for the needs of Havering's residents. I will provide updates on this as soon as I am made aware of the details.
In light of these claims, Andrew has also written to Council Leader, Cllr. Ray Morgon, requesting information from Havering Council.
