Today, Parliament was informed of the Government's intention to deport migrants entering the Chagos Island archipelago to St. Helena until the agreement with Mauritius comes into force.
Andrew Rosindell M.P. wanted to know whether the people of St. Helena had been consulted given the small number of inhabitants that reside there and the monumental changes which could occur to St. Helenian society. He also asked what impact, if any, this would have to Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha.
