There is a gross hypocrisy with this Government - while union bosses are receiving payrises and climate alarmist policies are being funded, our pensioners don't get the relief they deserve.

On Tuesday morning, I stood alongside my Conservative colleagues from the House of Commons, united in one clear message: we must restore the Winter Fuel Payment. With rising costs, we owe it to our pensioners to ensure they can heat their homes as the temperature drops and live with dignity. Labour's cruel policy, which was not in their manifesto at the General Election, must be reversed in today's Budget!
